Dr. Misty Good, MD, MS is the Division Chief of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at UNC Chapel Hill and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics. A leading neonatologist-scientist, her work centers on understanding and preventing necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) through innovative basic, translational, and clinical research.
She founded the multi-center NEC Biorepository, leads NIH-funded studies, and develops cutting-edge models — including “NEC-on-a-chip” — to uncover early biomarkers and test potential therapies. Dr. Good is recognized across the neonatal field for her scientific leadership, her commitment to mentoring future researchers, and her dedication to partnering with families affected by NEC.
